I prefer face to face delivery whenever possible, because it provides for the best learning experience for participants. However, all courses can also be delivered virtually via Zoom or MS Teams.

Autism Courses for Social Care (Adults and Children)

All our autism training provides coverage of the Core Capabilities Framework for Supporting Autistic People [PDF] and The Capabilities Statement for Social Work with Autistic Adults at relevant levels.

Autism Tier 2 (includes coverage of Tier 1 material as well as Tier 2) 1 day Practical knowledge and skills for working with autistic people Social Care staff working with autistic people
Autism Tier 3 1 day Advanced knowledge and skills including Care Act, Capacity and MHA assessment of autistic people; Crisis support and Distressed; Mental Health; Safeguarding with autistic people

Please note that Autism Tier 2 is an essential prerequisite for this course		 Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Commissioners and those in specialist teams with responsibility for care and support for autistic people
Autism for AMHPs 1 day Specific knowledge and skills for those who encounter autistic people in the context of crises and the Mental Health Act Approved Mental Health Professionals, Doctors and others with MHA responsibilities
Communicating with non-speaking people ½ day Practical skills for communicating with people (including but not limited to autistic people) who do not use speech to communicate Social care staff who encounter non-speaking individuals in their practice
